Creating Your First Document

Welcome to CreateDocs.ai! Follow these steps to create your first AI-powered document.

Step 1: Navigate to Documents

Click **Documents** in the sidebar or use the keyboard shortcut `G` then `D`.

Step 2: Click "New Document"

Click the **New Document** button or press `Cmd/Ctrl + N`.

Step 3: Choose Your Method

**From Template** — Browse our template library and select one that fits your needs

**From Scratch** — Start with a blank document and use AI to help you write

**Import** — Upload an existing DOCX, HTML, Markdown, or TXT file

Step 4: Fill in the Details

Give your document a descriptive title

Select a template category (optional)

Provide AI generation prompts if using a template

Step 5: Generate with AI

Click **Generate** and our AI will create the document content based on your template and instructions.

Step 6: Edit and Refine

Use the rich text editor to make changes. Type `/ai` in the editor for inline AI suggestions.

Step 7: Save and Export

Your document auto-saves. Export to PDF, DOCX, HTML, or other formats when ready.
