2. Point your agent at the MCP server

Clone the repo and run the stdio server, or use the CLI directly. Both share one authenticated client.

3. Prompt your agent

Ask naturally. The agent lists templates, picks the right one, fills the form from your prompt, and generates a real document.

You: "Draft an NDA between Acme LLC and a contractor,
       mark it for sharing source code under California law."
Agent → calls list_templates → generate_document → returns the draft.

The agent channel is the cheapest acquisition lever here — zero ad spend, and a moat most doc tools can't match. Work this list.

Smithery

Publish the MCP server to smithery.ai so any Claude/Cursor user can one-click install it. Submit with the stdio command + CREATEDOCS_API_KEY env var.

Anthropic / Claude plugin directory

List the MCP server under agent tool directories. Ensure /.well-known/agent.json is served (it is) and points to the stdio transport.

OpenAI / ChatGPT Actions

Wrap openapi.json as a ChatGPT Action (GPT). Auth = Bearer; base URL createdocs.ai. Expose list_templates + generate_document.

llms.txt + llms-full.txt

Already served at /llms.txt and /llms-full.txt — answer engines and agents read these to discover the API. Keep them current (count + endpoint list).

How it works

Your agent calls list_templates to find the right template, then generate_document with the answers it extracts from your prompt. Every generated document is a draft you're responsible for reviewing — not finished legal advice. CreateDocs.ai is not a law firm.

Metering: each generation counts against the tenant's plan quota. On 429, the agent should surface the limit rather than retry.
